Details
- The polyimide adhesive tape retains its excellent ability to be removed from the surface without leaving any residue, even at higher temperatures, as it does not soften at higher temperatures.
- Increased productivity thanks to the elimination of reworking
- Protects surfaces, resulting in fewer repairs
- Available with a roll core made of either polyethylene or cardboard
3M™ 5419 High-Temperature Polyimide Adhesive Tape, featuring a polyimide film and silicone adhesive, is used for masking solder joints on printed circuit boards and for other high-temperature applications. Low electrostatic charge. Colour: Gold, 0.07 mm thick.
Thanks to technology specially developed by 3M, electrostatic discharge when removing the tape from the printed circuit board is very low. Conventional polyimide adhesive tapes can generate an electrostatic charge of more than 10,000 volts, which could damage the components on the printed circuit board. 3M Adhesive Tape 5419 solves this problem without the typical drawbacks of conventional ‘antistatic’ or ‘interference-free’ tapes (e.g. variable adhesive strength and opacity). ‘Halogen-free’ refers to the definition set out by the International Electrotechnical Commission, IEC 61249-2-21, which specifies the following limits: max. 900 ppm chlorine content, max. 900 ppm bromine content, max. 1,500 ppm halogen content
