3M™ Polyester Insulation Tape 56 is a moisture-resistant insulation tape. This adhesive tape is suitable for insulation applications requiring high dielectric strength. This tape is rated for 600 V and withstands a temperature range of 0 to 130 °C.
3M™ Polyester Film 56 is an exceptionally thin and flexible insulating tape characterised by high adhesive strength. Whilst the heat-curing rubber adhesive is highly resistant to ‘flagging’, the backing exhibits very high tear and abrasion resistance. The tape, which is 0.06 millimetres thick in total, withstands a breakdown voltage of 5,500 volts and, with a temperature resistance of up to 130 °C, belongs to insulation class B. The yellow polyester film is ideal for interlayer insulation and top winding on coils.
